OUR CAUSE
Our goal at Goliathon is to bring aid to those in need around the world. All of our proceeds to date have been sent to another non-profit organization called charity: water to bring clean, safe drinking water to people in developing countries. We have completed water projects in Bangladesh, Nepal, Ethiopia, Cambodia, Niger, and Malawi – and have many others underway. Learn more about these efforts.
WHY WATER?
Right now, 771 million people on the planet don’t have access to clean and safe drinking water. That’s nearly one in 10 of us. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war. Children are especially vulnerable, as their bodies aren’t strong enough to fight diarrhea, dysentery and other illnesses.
charity: water uses 100% of our donations to directly fund sustainable water solutions in areas of greatest need. Once those specific projects are complete, we provide details to our participants on exactly how and where those dollars were spent. We believe that it is important for our participants to understand the real and immediate impact they are having on the lives of others. Please join us and help us fight the water crisis.
